Academic Programs
The Division of Psychoanalysis Counseling of Yemyung Graduate University offers academic programs for master’s course(M.A. in Psychoanalysis Counseling) and doctoral course(Ph.D. in Psychoanalysis and Ph.D. in Counseling). Our programs aim to study all professional aspects of psychoanalysis including its history, literature(original texts in German, French, and Korean), cases, and more ranging over all generations from Sigmund Freud(1856-1939) to Jacques Lacan(1901-1981) in need of a solid foundation for theory and practice of psychoanalysis in the Korean society of the 21st century. Our programs and curriculum also aim to prepare students for applied and research careers as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and psychoanalyst in articulation with the Korean Society for Contemporary Psychoanalysis. We heartily welcome you to join our degree programs conductive to more sophisticated research derived from the original text of Freud’s works and in-depth studies and clinics of Lacan.
