요한복음에 나타난 ‘예수의 이름’과 고난의 상관관계 연구

■ 초록
구약성서뿐만 아니라 신약성서에도 하나님의 이름 관련 표현들이 많이 나온다. 특히 신약성서에서 이러한 이름 어법, 이름 개념, 이름 모티프, 이름 구조들은 예수께서 그의 이름으로 현현하심과 역사하심을 그려내고 있다. 이중에서 본 논문의 목표는 요한복음을 중심으로 ‘예수의 이름’과 고난의상관관계에 관해 오노마 기독론과 이름 신학의 관점에서 규명하는 것이다. 이때 무엇보다도 프란츠 운터가쓰마이어(Franz Georg Untergaßmair)와 콜린 브라운(Colin Brown)과 아델하이트 룩-쉬뢰더(Adelheid Ruck-Schroder) 등의 견해를 중심으로 연구했다. 요한복음에서 ‘예수의 이름’과 고난의 관계에 관해 직접 언급하고 있는 구절은 요한복음 15:19-21이다. 그러나 왜 ‘예수의 이름’ 때문에 고난을 받아야 하는지 그 근본적인 이유나 신학적인 근거에 대해선 요한복음 17:11-12에서 찾을 수 있다. 즉, 아버지께서 그의 이름을 아들에게 주셨다는 사실이 ‘예수의 이름’ 때문에 고난을 받게 되는 신학적인 근거가 되었다는 것이다. 이러한 사실은 “내 이름으로 구하라”(요 14:13-14)는 명령에서 가정된 권위를 설명해 주는 역할을 하고 있다. 그러므로 이러한 관련 구절들과 ‘예수의 이름’과 고난의 관계에 대해 규명하고자 했다.
TExpressions related to God’s name appear abundantly not only in the Old Testament but also in the New Testament. In particular, these name usages, name concepts, name motifs, and name structures in the New Testament portray Jesus’ manifestations and works in his name. The goal of this paper, focusing on the Gospel of John, is to examine the relationship between the “name of Jesus” and the suffering it entails from the perspectives of onoma christology and name theology. In this study, I focused primarily on the views of Franz Georg Untergaßmair, Colin Brown, and Adelheid Ruck-Schroder. The only passage in the Gospel of John that directly mentions the relationship between “the name of Jesus” and suffering is John 15:19-21. However, the fundamental reason and theological basis for suffering in “the name of Jesus” can be found in John 17:11-12. Namely, the fact that the Father gave His name to the Son became the theological basis for suffering in “the name of Jesus.” This serves to explain the authority assumed in the command, “Ask in my name” (John 14:13-14). Therefore, I sought to elucidate these related passages and the relationship between “the name of Jesus” and suffering.
